Nicodamus Peregrinus Lime Seed spider ~

This spider was inspired by a 'Nicodamus Peregrinus', which is a species native to Australia. Personally I had never seen or heard of a spider with this mostly red colouration, and I felt I needed to create a replica of this species because it fascinated me so much ~

Just to clear this up, I am/was fully aware that spiders do only have two main bodily parts (being the cephalothorax and abdomen). That is why before I ever started making my lime seed spiders I wanted to include my own unique representation to the design by adding an extra segment for the head, making the structure similar to a real spider but not entirely. The main reason I chose to do this is simply because many people don't like spiders and may even have a crippling fear of them, so with this in mind I decided to make it a little more obvious that my handmade spiders are not just real spiders pinned to frames but rather made entirely from real woodland materials ~

This spider is made entirely from gathered woodland materials, which has been hand assembled and painted by me ^w^ ~
